Do I really believe ?
by on March 11, 2013 in Random Thoughts

I have read & heard alot about faith and the importance of believing in the vision God has given you.

Not just a confession of faith but acting with great expectation.

One day, Friday in fact, God said to me very clearly: ” prepare for abundance”.

Like who would I give to ?
Who would manage my money ?
Do I have a spending plan ?

Then there is music.

I have been studying jazz for four years now & for about 2 & half of those years I was 60% deaf and didnt know it. Then I had to drop out of a prestigious school because of family issues and work a 9-5. On top of that I have an impacted wisdom tooth that’s messing with my embrochure.

But for some reason I pick up my horn everyday because I believe that God didnt bring me this far for anything. Plus I continue to grow as a musician. I really dont care if I ever become a great trumpet player, its just the mere act of tenacity and the journey that I enjoy.

Every time I pick up my horn it reminds me that I am not a quitter. That no heartbreak, setback or physical aliment will keep me from using this gift.

But still there are other areas in my life that need to improve. Neverthless I believe no matter who is in my life I will improve as a person. Either as a mom, friend, sister, teacher, musician, giver or  lover of God.

I’ve have just become very wary of people distracting me from God’s purposes in my life. And since I believe more & more I can do great things for Him, I have been quicker about limiting relationships that dont move me closer to the Lord. All such negative relationships are a sincere waste of time.

So, I believe that He who began a good work in me will finish it until the day of Christ, because my journey is eternal. Amen.
