I LOVE people, but there are things that I sincerely hate. I am documenting this so I know my limits and dont ever want to be accused of being fake. I also want people to be clear they are totally wasting their time trying to change my mind about these things.
1) I HATE weaves. It absolutely DISGUSTS me to no end that black women are buying white women’s hair and pretending that its theirs. As a proud African woman weaves perpetute white superiority. And I will NOT support anything that demeans the beauty & dignity of black women.
2) I HATE the use of scripture to manipulate people because it distorts the loving and divine will of God. Tithes is not more important than compassion. Hating sexual sin doesnt mean you hate the person or kill them. God doesnt hate fags, Jews, blacks, signs or whatever he hates BEHAVIORS that naturally lead to negative consquences and takes folks away from their divine purpose which is a loving relationship with Him & an abundant life free from worry.
3) I HATE smooth jazz. It is the McDonald’s of food, poorly made for fast consumption of low nutritional value. Great art forms show the true range of the human experience. Smooth jazz is mostly festive music that tries to eliminate and replace highly trained musicians with unfeeling machines. In fact the audience doesnt know that musicians who make this music know its crappy but think the average American is too dumb to appreciate complex music. Do you want music to be accesible ? Yes. But do you always have to feed crap to people as an artist when you know they need more to grow in their lives and you can do better ? NO.
4) I HATE being stagant. Stagnation signals death and laziness. Growth is essential. If you are in the same place financially, spiritually, intellectually and relationally for more than 5 years you are addicted to mediocrity and are surrounded by too many yes men.
5) I HATE mediocrity. We cannot be completely perfect at everything but there has to be at least one thing in your life you are absolutely excellent at and then you delegate the things you suck at and stay accountable to improving those areas in some way.
