When He becomes a liability. The male gold digger
by on March 21, 2013 in Relationships

There has been alot of talk about the female gold digger. Rarely do people talk about the male gold digger.

Being a proud woman I took issue when folks said that I was riding the coat tails of my ex husband who is now a decorated physician in the military.

But lets check the facts before I met my ex husband I was an honor roll student and highly accomplished (5 on the AP American History Exam, A student in GT Physics, recepeint of a community service Scholarship).

My ex husband when I met him was a VERY good soccer player, illegal immigrant, who was wiping old people’s butts as a nurse and couldnt pass biology at a community college LITERALLY.

Did I judge him and think I was better ? No. I served him as his wife and was a team player. Paid for and filled out INS, FAFSA and college apps. Worked hard edited papers for him, built a computet so he could have the right tools for his thesis and paid for study tools. My friends and family provided him money and books to fund his dream.

Well then one fateful day in April in 2008 he tells me I am no longer useful and cant help him in the next stage of his career.

The results of our relationship ?
Well I went from a Dean’s List Student at a top University to a physcho welfare queen. Him ? An incomptent nurse to a well decorated doctor in the military who patented a drug for a sickle cell anemia.

The moral of the story: Know your value.
